With all the discussion about carbon credits and agriculture, we wanted to give attention to the first and most successful state-sanctioned carbon program in the U.S.--the Oklahoma Carbon Credit program.

Shanon Phillips, Director of water quality at the Oklahoma Conservation Commission joins us on the podcast to talk about the program, how it operated and how the bundled benefits generated by the land enrolled in the program not only reduced greenhouse gasses but also helped improve water quality.
